Association (IGLFA) International tournament. One to three tournaments, with
6-10 games per tournament are played annually. It is held in a different city

years). The week-long International
Gay and Lesbian Football Association (IGLFA) tournament allows teams to compete
in two levels of play (competitive and recreational), as well as socialize with
teams from around the world.
Similarly, the Quadrennial-annual Gay Games also brings together
international teams who compete in two levels of play, but in a grander scale
with many other sporting and cultural events. The Club has also sent players
and/or teams to other national tournaments such as the New York Indoor Classic
and AtlantaÕs Hotlanta Sports Classic.
The

tournaments and the Gay Games provides not only a venue to put Club membersÕ
skills and tactics to the test of international competition, but also increases
participantsÕ sense of camaraderie and belonging in the worldÕs Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender community (LGBT).
The increased visibility of this community through such international events
contributes towards societyÕs greater understanding of them thus benefiting
both that larger community and its LGBT subset.
